Welcome to our Player Registration System.
Due to a large number of wankers who don't wish to follow the rules, I'm
doing something unusual.
You will now be required to register prior to playing games on the
server.
The concept is very simple: you will provide your e-mail address. It will
be a real e-mail address. A password will be e-mailed to you that will
allow you to play. (Note: We will not use your e-mail address to spam you or
anything awful like that.)
If you cause problems, and there are complaints, your access to this server
may be temporarily or permanently revoked. Additionally, we may be in
contact with your ISP's Abuse Desk in the event that you have violated your
ISP's Acceptable Use Policy.
To avoid obvious circumvention methods, the automated system will not allow
you to register Hotmail or other free e-mail addresses, and may also forbid
e-mail addresses at ISP's that make it difficult to shut down problem
users. You are expected to use the e-mail account provided to you as part
of your Internet access.
If you do not have an e-mail account provided to you as part of your
Internet access, read the following very carefully:
If you are sharing someone else's Internet access, you WILL be expected to
use the e-mail account of the person who owns your Internet connection in
order to sign up for this service. End of story.
If you legitimately do not have an e-mail account, write to
service@ns.sol.net, explain the situation in detail, and you may be allowed
to use a Hotmail address. Do note that the very first thing we will do is
to see if you're coming from an ISP known to offer e-mail access. Your
request will be summarily refused, potentially without even a reply, in the
event that your ISP offers e-mail access and you claim otherwise.
We really do not care if you don't like your ISP's e-mail service.
We really do not care if you have never used your ISP's e-mail service.
We really do not care if you've forgotten the settings for your ISP's e-mail
service (that's why they have a customer service number).
We really do not care if it is your dad's, mom's, etc., e-mail address. We
really do want you to use the e-mail address assigned to the account you are
using.
You will only need to receive a single e-mail message via the provided
e-mail account. The message will contain your password for connecting to
the server.
Do not lose your password. It will be yours, and yours alone. Shared
passwords may become irretrievable passwords - you have been warned.
If you do lose your password, you can repeat this process, and the server
will re-send you the same password.
By playing on this server, you agree to abide by the rules at http://www.quake.sol.net/rules_pure.html.
